This project was run for the Lea Rivers Trust, as part of the Limehouse Cut regeneration programme led by British Waterways in autumn 2003.

The project included children from St Paul with St Luke and Marner schools in East London. Inspired by storytelling and walks along the Limehouse Cut canal, Year 5 children created 4 separate horizontal picture panels.

Their finished big-picture was used as a backdrop for storytelling and musical performances led by storyteller Kevin Graal. Later the artists digitally enhanced the finished picture for use as a postcard, and the original pictures were laminated and bound into 2 big books which included the children’s literacy work.
